I was so sad when I had learned about Tommy's death back in 1964! It really hit me hard. He was always just a dear friend for me, and if I was unhappy about something (a broken heart for example)...Tommy would pick me up and take me out just to have a happy time. What a dear boy he was...and so sorry he did not get to grow old with the rest of us. Rest in Peace, Coyote Tom!
Tom Parsons, Tom Mangham, and I put a “Bongo Rock” group together for Sensations 1961. Tom Parsons played electric guitar, Mangum on congo drum, and moi on the bongos. Tom Parsons had a great personality. His wide smile was infectious. Tom and I were invited to play at a few parties that summer. Parsons was a good friend, mentor, and confidant. Tom signed my Senior year book: ‘Lucky Tom Parsons’. Rest in peace my Friend.

Tom died in an oilfield accident the summer of either 1964 or 1965. He was in the Marine Corps PLC program in college.
