John Landess

Johnny was one of my best friends from junior high on. We spent uncountable hours on the great basketball 1/2 court by his folks home in North Roswell. I had hoped to renew our friendship at the 50th, but not to be......John died peacefully on January 16, 2012 in Lawton, Oklahoma.

John T. Perry was born on July 11, 1944 in Roswell, New Mexico to John S. and Nina J. Perry. He attended local schools in Roswell graduating from Roswell High School (1962). John attended New Mexico State University. He worked in the Banking and Financing Business in Hobbs, New Mexico. He was a member of the Hobbs Jaycees where he was involved with the Miss New Mexico Pageant for several years. He was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church.

John is survived by his parents, John and Nina Perry of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; his daughter, Tracy Coleman and grandson Colby Coleman, of Hobbs, New Mexico; his brothers, Glenn Perry and his wife Anne, of Edmond, Oklahoma, and Steve Perry and his wife Sandy, of Tuttle, Oklahoma; his sisters, Connie Chesser and her husband, Ross of Roswell, New Mexico, and Trudy Adkins and her husband, Bob of Edmond, Oklahoma; and numerous nieces and nephews.
