Robert Lee Rollins   December 2, 1943 - February 7, 2022

Robert Rollins was born December 2, 1943, in Hutchinson, KS, the son of William Edwin Rollins and Gladys Naomi Kimble Rollins. He grew up in Roswell, NM, where he graduated from Roswell High School and married Doris Elizabeth Gilkeyson on June 6, 1965. Robert attended two years of college at Eastern New Mexico University and Abilene Christian University. He was a private in the US Army Corps for four months and was honorably discharged from active duty to the Army Reserves for 5 years and 5 months. They moved to Abilene, TX, in February of 1967, where he worked at Binswanger Glass Company for 26 years. Robert and family attended Southern Hills church of Christ while they were living in Abilene.
Robert and Doris moved to Brown County in 1997. Robert enjoyed his grandchildren, helping maintain the church building, bowling, coin collecting, and restoring his old Chevy truck. They attended Austin Avenue church of Christ.
Robert was preceded in death by his mother, father, brother, and wife. Robert is survived by daughter, Perrine, son-in-law, Craig Pitman, and two grandchildren, Garrett and Lane of Wylie; son, Aaron, daughter-in-law, Christina, and two grandchildren Ciera and Savannah of Abilene.

I always liked Robert in our classes at RHS. Robert was quiet and unassuming with a kind heart. I thought Robert was cool head. I will miss you my friend!

When my Family moved to Dad bought the house next door to the Rollins Mr Rollins had built the house he bought! 
In 1976 we moved to Abilene, Texas Bobby coached my children in Bowling! What a small world!
