Don this year I am not sending cards out to people I love. Next year I will try to get back to the Re-cards. Merry Christmas. I saw Linda doing some cards but she does not like my Re-cards.

Well Dolls 'n Guys,  regarding Merlin's J.J. production of "A Wonderful Life"

John Doyal, Dick Kelly, Linda Dumas, Mike Curtis, and Carrie Edwards

Johnny we looked all through our '60, 61, & 62 yearbooks. Jimmy was not in any of them. How bout posting more personal pictures of buddies in the 9th Grade.  That way it would give the kids that went to East an advantage.... just kiddin' ya...  Nope,  I changed my mind.  ha

The star of the movie was Linda Dumas.  The rest were citizens of Medford Fall who acted as stand ins.

I'm with you, Keith.....they were a great bunch!!  I wouldn't know anyone in the class of 1962 if it hadn't been for East!

The only thing I remember about east is that they got all the good football players and some very bad drivers.

Could have been Bill.  I just don't remember.  I guess I could google coke and see that might jog my memory a little bit.

I knew a lot of people who went to East.  Especially a lot of very pretty girls.  They knew that I went to North so they were always trying to get me to fix them up with my friends.  That way the could go out with some good looking guys and not just date some flat head

12/23/13 11:59 AM #513

Pat Sullins (Carpenter)

Don, we had some very good looking guys at East.....John Allensworth, Dan Cook, Billy Turley, Larry Powell, Keith Wyatt, Jim Melson....just to name a few.  Can't imagine any of our girls wanting to go to North for dates!!

Pat Sullins (Carpenter)

That's the truth, Linda.....everyone came together and the junior highs were put on the back burner!

Merry CHRISTmas to you all and I hope everyone has a healthy, happy 2014.  Hugs, Pat

Pat and Linda, You guys are just toooo gracious to that rag-tag group of hairy legged guys who called Roswell home.

But at East we did have a bevy of beauties,of course the rest of Roswell fared pretty well also.

Don't know if everybody knows or remembers that we had a very eclectic group at East that 9th grade year. A lot of the people met for the first time. People came from North,South, the county schools(Littlefield and East Grand Plains) and from from Walker AFB School.

Pat that is what I loved about the girls from RHS you thought all of us boys were a little cute and you would forgive us of anything.  I have dear friends that attended North, South and East Jr. Highs.

However; Johnny Allensworth?  He had to stand in the same place twice just to make a shadow.  Jim Melson?  I guess Jim is cute if your into pit bull dogs.  Cousin Turley?  I know as a fact that my sister had to comb his hair with a curry comb.

Good thing I am not into cute boys, because I think the world of the those three guys.  Dan Cook? pound for pound the toughest man I have ever known.  Must have been cute he was voted most handsome of RHS 1962.  You guys were gone in 1963 when he came to our assembly to accept his reward.  He looked like a peeled onion wearing horned rimmed glasses.  We are still friend Dan.  Aren't we?

For many years I have told all my friends in Calif. that I grew up with the most beautiful girls I have ever seen. and the best guys.  Wouldn't have traded it for anything.  Trying to figure how to do it again.

Don, sounds like the Hunks at North rattled a few chains over at East....  Homer said: That's bad.  Jethro said:  But that's good!

Pat,  you did attend North for two years before transferring to East, right?  Just checking...

According to my favorite spy at East,  there were several beauties from North whom were forced to give up their allegiance to North and play "go East Young Ladies".  Girls who left North whom we boys vehemently lamented over were:  Saundra Bennett, Perrine Girard, Patsy Skipper, Alice Isaacs, and Lynn Snipes. However this account is probably not accurate as every girl who went to North was special.  Are there any other ladies whom we need to give honorable mention, Hmmm?  The chicks who stayed at North were Caroline Allen, Mari Anderson, Charlene Lake, Kay Schrimsher, Jeanie Sacra, as well as Glyna Daniel, Kay Parker, and Cari Edwards..  If we have left anyone out please help Dandy Don out here... as he was a young whipper snapper when all this happened and so ispo facto... blame it on the Bossa Nova!

North Junior High had it all.... including Elvis in 1955

Rex, I only attended North in the seventh grade, then transferred to East for the eighth and ninth.  I was in the eighth grade when Lynn and Patsy were in the ninth.

Pat,

I remember your brother Roger at North  and your friend Laquita.  So you were able to obtain enough credits to graduate early with the class of '62?

Au Revoir...

Lynn Snipes (Allensworth)

Rex, as much as I value your comments I must correct you. Until I reached East Junior High School I did not even know there was North Junior High or South Junior High.  I went to EAST Grant Plains Elementary School through the eighth grade and then to East Junior High a very naive young gal!!!  It did not take long though for me to "learn the ropes"!!!!! And John kind of changed me also!!  He was my very first date when we were freshman!!! Also to clear up some of the ranching comments!!  My Great Grandfather, Cyrus Farnsworth and then Grandfather, Arthur Farnswworth owned the Circle F Ranch until 1957 and then my Dad owned the ranch until 1993 when he sold it.  Pat you are right that Clyde Seely ran the ranch until the early 1960's and then later my brother ran the ranch until it was sold.  Anything else you guys want to know??  And I have never heard of the horses Rex said we had ~ but I may have had my head elsewhere!!!!!!!!! Mostly with John I'll bet!!!!  Also all the comments are a hoot!!!

Merry Christmas to you all!!!!
