Patricia Kaye,

Bill Turley and I drove out to Lake LBJ (Kingsland) a few years ago.  Marilyn Hill and husband Bob hosted a 'mini' RHs Gathering at their lakeside home.  Sandford Green has a home on the southern end of Lake LBJ and we had fun boating.  We checked out a Texas-style BBQ place in Llano... used lots of paper towels! Jerry Floyd lived for a while in Georgetown next to a golf course.  Now in Burleson.  I understand you were a 'Stewie" back in day.  A Calfornia boating friend of mine Jerry Nielsen was Captain who flew for Continental many years.  Did you know him?

We are planning our 60th RHS reunion 2022.  We missed you at the 55th in 2017.  Roswell now has airline service from Dallas to Roswell and Roswell to Phoenix both ways.  Yes, I believe we had a class together at RHS.  Hope you will get several replies.  Keep on keepin' on like a bird that flew!

Just got back from spending a few days up near and in Dollywood with my #3 son and wife, #1 daughter, hubbie and kids. We all rented a cool Dollywood cabin (3 bedroom) which had nearly everthing. Did all the sights, and then a full day at Dollywood. Great shows, fun rides, and terrific Christmas decorations (4 million plus lights). One of the most amazing this year was a 50 foot tree, with syncronized lighting and music. I have attempted to attach a YouTube showing, but have not had the best of luck in the past with attachments here. But if you want to see an amazing display, I am sure you can find it??? frown That entire area is truly a Christmas wonderland.

Anyway, Best wishes to all for a great Christmas and a SUPER 2019.

Dollywood Tree show also none of this is mine. - YouTube

PS  It works!!!!

Fred......I had no idea you were that close.  We will have to work a get together out.   You haven't lived until you've visited this Nettie house with all these crazy kids. Well I'll tell you guys I have baked more cookies than I can believe.  Get over here Fred, I  guarantee I can put 20 pounds on you in a flash.    I will admit, and this is very hard to admit .....I  Way too old for these golden years and I'm living.

Santa,

Just for you, I called the chimney sweep guy.  It was all cleaned out for your descent. But looks like you've added a 'little' girth since last year... you'll have to make your entry some other way. Mz.Santa are you in the sled holding the reins so you can make a quick get-a-way!!?  Ho ho ho!!!

El Juan sans Magic Wand,

What a 'Beautimous' Tree light show at Dollywood!!  I've sent the link to others.  Thanks for sharing.

Dear Santa,

I think you look great!   It seems to me that Rex was being a li’l naughty making fun of your trademark girth.  If I were you, I’d skip over his house altogether....or maybe  drop a few lumps of coal on his lawn.

I, on the other hand, have been pretty nice!  ðŸ˜Œ

Wild Bill Hiccup, that’s a mighty fancy coal stove you’ve got thar!

Here comes Santa Claus, here comes Santa Claus, right down Santa Claus Lane.

Vixen, Blitzen, all his reindeer pulling on the reins.

Bells are ringin’, old folks singin’

All is merry and bright.

Put out your coal bin (make sure it doesn’t leak),

‘Cause Santa Claus is comin’ in a week!

Rex,

There is a similar thing here in NE Tennessee. They put 8 moonshine stills in a circle on top of the nearest mountain. Then all sit down in the middle and take samples. When the first one to get loaded and falls off the mountain, it usually entails a trip to the ER for sewing up and stitches.. He is declared the 'winner sew/stitch' of the year. It is quite an event!!!

Merry Christmas to All

Merry Christmas Class of 1962! I hope your celebration is filled with family and friends. I love all the “Chats” and reading them makes me smile as I read them each morning. Just an FYI. My 7 year old great-granddaughter corrected me recently when I remarked that a “coyote” was walking across the open area in the back of the house. She quickly said, “It’s coyoteeee”, (long “e”) NeNe. I had to defend my pronunciation against her because I was a Roswell High Coyote (silent”e”) long before she learned the improper pronunciation in East Texas!  Texans don’t always know it all.
