Happy new year to everyone and happy birthday to all those born in January.  How many ever thought how far away 2020 was and that they would be alive to see it?

J.D.

I do know what you mean and have thought about it as well.  But, does 2020 mean we can throw away our glasses this year...?   wink

Population here is approximately 50,000 with almost 10,000 churches!  That's right!  One church for every home with five people. So one can assume this IS god’s country.  On a serious note, some would rather go back to Brylcream…   wink

Sorry to hear of the passing of Ben Bassett.  I knew him slightly.  He seemed to be the focus if RHS bullies ar the time.  I guess the price for being different.

Certainly has been 'quiet' on here for a bit!!!! Is Rex on vacation?

BTW, all these photos that have been posted...It is difficult for me to recognize most folks, that is other than Tommy with his big smile.wink

Please keep Tennessee in your thoughts..... No, these isn't anything wrong...We are just trying to figure out what season it is... 30's and 60's in December, 73 about 4 days ago and coming this week 40's.....  ?????

Well Ah'll be. If it ain't El Juan mah ole imbibin' podnah. It ain't yer weather.  It's the weathah mayen who's been under the weather since he bought one of yer grandpappy's Tennesse stills.  Seems he spends more time smashin' mash than showin' up at the weathah station.  To quote yer 'fav' Nobel Prize Winner, Bob Zimmerman:  "It don't take a weather man to tell which way the wind blows..."

Rex,

It seems that Bobby be your go to guy for all pertinent info, not answered by the men's i-ching, aka 'the Godfather' film!!!

As for the weather, here in ol' Ten-o-sea, 21 this am, only 12 degrees warmer than my home in Alasker!

And the wind is out of the west!

IZ... the man from La Mancha still jousting at windmills in Tenny-Sea?  Be careful where you use the word Gawd-fathah... Corleonesi are still making offers you can't afford to refuse...

El Juan,

If you look at the background picture on the "Home" page you'll see raging water rushing under a bridge.  Kwestshun:  Ask Johnny how your favorite toy... an inflatable "Loch Ness Monster", happened to cruise by in the picture...?   Can anyone identify that river/bridge in Roswell?

Pop's Drive-In on West 2nd.

With a large sign out front that said:  "Worst food in New Mexico"  !!

When we pulled into one of the stalls, Pop would come out and talk to us. In fact he talked to just about everybody that came to his Drive-In. Was Pop a forerunner for a present-day social worker..?

Barrel House on West 2nd -  At age 4, I remember my folks and I parking our car in front and standing in line to order an ice-cold frosty root beer.  Yummy!!
