Tom - recognize Rusty in your picture.  Is that Pa Kettle in the bib overalls???

12/15/15 10:46 AM #2881

Billy Turley

Sanford, as I recall Pa Kettle was a skinny little dude, Ma was a big'un. I could be wrong....anybody remember for sure ??

Don Ervin

Pa Kettle was a skinny little dude and his name was Percy Kilbride.  Ma Kettle was bigger and her name was Marjorie Main.  I know this, because  just a couple of days ago I watched a couple  of their old movies  Brought back some memories when I watched them a long time ago.  The guy in the picture is Santa Claus taking a day off before the rush.

Ferrell Dunham RHS ’61 sent this nice winter video to us:

“The photographer spent many hours in making this winter video. She must have a fantastic zoom lens… how ‘bout those slow-motion shots” !

It’s called “Wild December - HD 1080” (high def)

After the video starts, put it on “Full Screen” button lower right

Thanks again Ferrell !!

Lynn,

Ditto on your remarks to John... well, on the nice job part anyway............. as always, a great job on keeping this site really hopping.

Just got my computer out of ICU.... so have been slacking off on keeping Rex in line!! (I KNOW, I KNOW, an impossible job) but up and running for now, so, I just wanted to say to everyone....

                                             MERRY CHRISTMAS

Diane,  It was really nice of you to say Rusty and I looked like a Christmas card.  For those that made referance to Pa Kettle don't knock the bib overalls if you haven't tried them.  Santa doesn't wear those fancy red and white outfits all the time , only when he's out on deliveries.  Merry Christmas to all my class of 62 friends and all .the friends of the class of 62.  MK

El Juan aka Juan L.  Magic Juan just got out of ICU for spending way too many hours glued to his monitor screen.  He should know better, what 60 cycle flicker does to the brain.  So El Juan puts the blame on a an innocent fall-guy… his ‘puter.  Tsk, tsk, tsk!  He’ll do almost anything to eat up space on his hard drive.

At any rate, El Juan have a slap-happy holiday and stay off  Thunder Road, and a happy pagan holiday to all y’all especially to those with Yuletide logs with mistletoe hanging from the doorway of yer homes.

Here's a sweet treat

A Chocolate Yule Log or “Bûche de Noël” is now a popular Christmas desert or pudding. It's traditionally eaten in France and Belgium, where they are known as 'Kerststronk' in Flemish. They are made of a chocolate sponge roll layered with cream.  Yummy!

Sometimes mistletoe is hung from the center belt loop on the back of the jeans. Just saying......

Can hardly belive next  Friday is Christmas already !!

( I don't have any Muslin friends, that I know of)

John, that is a pretty cool tree you decorated on the homepage.  We are a mighty festive bunch!  We probably don't say it as often as we should,  but all your efforts for this site do not go unnoticed or unappreciated.  Please know we are very grateful for all you do!

Ferrell, that was a beautiful winter video you shared via Rex. Thanks to all of you who participate on the message forum, and share pictures, videos, recipes, jokes, your thoughts and wisdom(?) with your classmates.  It has been a great deal of fun, and a nice way to keep in touch!

John L., I was trying to answer Rex right away, but Turley beat me to it!

Merry Christmas everyone!
