John.....Thanks once again for all you do!!  Excellent job as usual.

A heartfelt wish to everyone for the very best Christmas and New Year ever from Peggy and myself (or is that "and me" or "and I" ?, whatever, you get the idea)!  wink

Mistletoe can be hung on the front of Levi’s.  Some who cut off their belt loops in high school, dangled it from their zipper.... of their coat.  Where else were we thinking?  wink

A Hot Toddy… good for the Body.  Peas on earth and good wishes to all !   yes

Pat, Happy Birthday, hope you enjoy your day with all this snow!!  Now you can go snow boarding instead of tap dancing!  Thanks for being such a special friend!  Love you, Lynn

Thank you all for the birthday wishes....I so appreciate them..  Harvey, I do have a snow shovel sitting inside by my front door but it's still snowing here.  Most snow I think I've ever seen!  Must be about 18 inches and the drifts are terrible. All roads out of Roswell are closed and of the people I've heard that have gone out have all gotten stuck.  Stores and churches are all closed. Think I'll just stay inside, think about being older and count my blessings!

Hi Pat.

Hope you have enjoyed this special "I'm dreaming of a White Christmas" today!  Happy Birthday!  Are you still 39 1/2?  Remember, we had a terrific snow storm in 1960.  Aren't we glad we survived to tell the tale!  Have a great week!

Pat Sullins (Carpenter)

Rex, I can't remember the storm in 1960 although I'm only 39 1/2!  Thanks for the Happy Birthday! So far, no problems here with the electricity and I'm glad because I've spent the day watching The World Series of Poker which is one of my favorite shows!  My son-in-law is the working lineman foreman of Otero County Electric and he's been out in it all day, first to Mescalero, then to Cloudcroft and now around Ruidoso.  Lots of people without power there.  Hope everyone here stays in,stays safe and warm.

Oh, my goodness, Tommy.  It just split, didn't it??  I'm afraid this stuff is going to be with us for a while.  I have no idea what the rest of town other than the street in front of my house looks like and it is impassable!  Stay safe and stay warm.

Tommy,  I think that tree might be spliced back togather.  I don't know much about spliceing trees but I'm sure Rex or John Landess are experts on it and can advise you.  Happy New Year to everyone and happy birthday to Pat.  Meanwhile I've got to see if I can get Sanford and his family out.  They are really snowbound up above me.  I'm afraid they may soon have to resort to cannilbalism.

WOW.....talk about the hot old west, and that snow joke!!! Here in the mountains of East Tennessee, took my granddaughter to Dollywood Saturday evening, though only 5 1/2, she loves the Christmas musicals..It had rained earlier, but was clear and 70 at 5:45. However, it cooled off clear down to 58 when we left at 9:30pm!!! O'course it was only 19 degrees at my place in Alaska, but NO snow.

Rex, I remember the 'blizzard' of 1960.. there must have been 5 or 6 inches of snow. Helped my little brother build a snowman in the front yard. It started leaning over, so I drove a piece of 1 inch pipe down through it into the ground. That evening, a couple of my hooligan friends drove by and thought it would be fun to knock it down. One of them jumped out and threw a tackle on it. The next day it was leaning a little more but still up, and the tackler was complaining of a sore neck and shoulder!surprise

The big thing then, none of my folks cars would ever start when it got cold, even when you poured a kettle of boiling water on the intake manifold! Later, living in Alaska I learned that original equipment batteries don't last forever, and you have to buy one once in awhile.

Well, merry shoveling to all, and a happy new year!

Mack, if you can't get them out, there are several recipes from Jeffery Dahmer's cookbook that are easy, Sloppy Joe, beans and Frank, etc.

Pat Sullins (Carpenter)

Thank you, Mack.  PLEASE get Sanford and family out!  I don't want them to resort to Dahmer's cookbook. But, John, wouldn't that be beans and SANFORD instead of beans and FRANK???

Mack, Herb Finney is going to bring over his loader and we are going to pick the broken part up and put a bolt through it. Roland Schenck said it would work. He is in the tree business. Good luck with Sam.

Pat, That is a tough one to come up with (no pun), but maybe something like "sanford fondue" or "boiled southern greens"

Mack be careful when you go up.....Mack and cheese!!!

AND, I'm not making any remarks about sweets of any type!

Juan El,   don't let Kiser fool you.

With all that meat Mountain Mack keeps in his refer he could feed an army platoon including Sanford & Son..   His house specialty...       "Mack-a-roni ‘n cheese and Mackerel topped with Mack’n beans".  Corporate sponsor:  Mack Truck.   Commercial by T-Recks.   wink
