Johnny,

Did we understand correctly that you haven't gotten "enough"  of White Christmas...?

Good news.  All Greens are alive.  We did catch a skunk and had him buttered up and ready for oven when snow plows cane to rescue.  The last can of pork and beans were in jeopardy but we still have them.  Grand children had great sledding though.  Just as snow plows cleared road our water went out.  Next Christmas will be in the Bahamas!

We had a ton of snow up here and everyone was pretty well stranded.  If you haven't been in Ruidoso on Christmas and New Years you wouldn't believe how many people are here.  All of the Mexicans In El Paso and Juarez plus about another 30000 from Texas.  It's the biggest crowd we have all year.  You have to book about 3 months or more ahead of time to get a room.  When there is snow and eggnog involved the safest place you can be is snowed in.  El Paso is the worst drivers I've ever seen and It turns into a real cluster F----.  They stop right in the middle of the road to put on chains or talk about where to go for the best Brekfast.  You can't get in a restaurant.. I'm going to the Bahamas with Sanford next year.  Tommy,  I didn't know about the bolt in a splice but I do now.  It would make it a lot easier to keep it togather.  There use to be a old man over in Lincoln that had a bunch of fruit trees in his yard.  He spliced all kinds of limbs onto the trees and would actually have 4 or 5 different kinds of fruit growing on a single tree.  He's probably been dead for 30 yrs or so and last year when I was in Lincoln I thought about him and looked at his old house.  It looked like all his trees were dead.  I wish everyone would have had the chance to visit with him.. He was a friend of Joe Dunlap's and only Joe could come up with people like him and he knew a lot of them.  Joe was a walking NM history book and I really miss having him around.  Joes dad was one of the origional game wardens in NM and lived to be in his 90s.. It's getting hard to find people who lived history in NM.  Not many left.  I guess I better stop ramblin on.  Come to Ruidoso and get snowed in.  Happy New Years.   Tell Herb and Roland Happy New Years for me.  Next time I'm in Roswell We need to go visit them.  MK

Started snowing about noon. I am snowed out of Ruidoso. Ladies do not read the next part. Really it is for the guys. DON'T READ THE NEXT PART !

Debbie was a waittress that worked for me for many years. She always said that sex was like a blezzerd; you never know how many inches you are going to get or how long it will last. You girls read it.

The reason I did not want the girls to read it is because I didn't want them to know I didn't know how to spell blizzerd.

Tommy,

If the girls know how to spell blizzard, they probably can do waitress also!!!frown

HOWEVER, great photos, I have forwarded several to friends and family in Alaska, so they can remember what the white stuff is.

Sorry I couldn't respond earlier but the near blizzard conditions here in San Diego kept me inside. Had to wait until it got up to 70 to go out side Darn sunshine is so bright and warm in America's finest city.

I DO NOT MISS THE SNOW AND COLD. Although we did have some pretty fun times when we had the snow days and didn't have to go to school. Doing donuts in parking lots ect. Watching cras slide down the Hill by the old football stadium.

Ferrell,

Here’s a Big “Welcome” to you for joining the RHS ’62 site!  However, the catch to all this IS… at our next Gathering you may be required to tell us some stories, lies, and embellishments how you and your team won the Little League World Series Championship in Williamsport in 1956.  I was one those 10,000 people celebrating your victory when your train pulled into the Roswell station on 5th street.  You and your team put Roswell on the map!  Honorable mention includes Bill Turley and Tommy Jordan too… Ferrell and Turley, will you add additional team member's names besides Harold Hobson?  yes

A very Happy New Year to everyone from not-so-sunny Northern California. What a trip to see Roswell on all of the national news last week! It finally confirms for some that New Mexico IS part of the US, and that Roswell is not just a quirky spot for aliens! I've been folowing the message forum for quite a while and enjoy the back-and-forth between you guys!. It's good to see some of the ladies chime in now! The best to everyone. Okay, John and Lynn............good reminder to us to check in every once in a while!  Happy New Year 2016! Hope it's filled with good things for all!

For Ferrell, save me a place in Amarillo! We are headed that way in July or August.  Daughter, son-in-law, and 4 little boys live there.

Well, it has cooled off here in NE Tennessee, clear down to the 30's in the mountains. Rumor has it, it may snow in which case Dolly will have to wear boots instead of 6" heels....oh wait, the boots have 5" heels.

I have heard through a undisclosed source, that there were so few snow plows in New Mexico, the Air Force brought some strange things from Area 51 that used rays to melt the snow on the streets.. Did anyone get a photo???

Anyway.... I trust 2016 will be a great year for all, and a planning year for the 55th re-union!! I vote for catering by Tommy!!

John and Lynn a special Happy New Year and many thanks for all you do for the Class of 62.  You have given us an opportunity to stay in touch and maintain friendships.  What a blessing for all of us.

Sorry I don't participate often. Just think I don't have much to say that would be of interest. Anyway, Happy New Year to all. Looking forward to 55. I do read the forum every day.
