Charline, I've seen a few dolls dressed in Levis sporting six inch stiletto high heels...
Turley, that theatre with the screen turned backwards... what was the name of it again... Pecos or El Capitan? The theatre directly across on the east side of Main was where "The Outlaw" was shown starring Jane Russell. Jane at the time was the girlfriend of Howard Hughes who produced the flick. It was about Billy the Kid and Pat Garrett. The marquee below was censored at many theatres across the country because of it's provocative nature. Nature is good.
Bill L, I have been to Mitchell's Pharmacy with my folks since I was old enough to walk.
When you entered the store the glass pharmacy counters were on the right side where old man Mitchell would wait on customers. The soda fountain on the left. Just to the rear of the soda fountain was the juke box, a couple of booth seats, and a small dance floor. Mitchell's was on the "west" side of the street near the corner of Main & 4th. I worked at Mack's Camera Center then on 3rd street during all three years of high school. I went to Mitchell's for lunch on Saturdays. The kids that hung out there were in their early twenties when we were just young punks 16-17. And, Yes, Mitchell's had old dark wooden floors that "creaked" when you walked, like the ones at Monkey Wards did. If memory serves me, which seems to have affected some here (ha) ... I believe Zinks may have been a door or two down from Mitchell's. Tommy could verify this as his Dad bought Zinks somewhere along the line. Which could explain why Tommy has an interest in collecting antique or vintage record players and radios.

As a result of seeing this flick at an early age, many of us developed a thing about haystacks in a barn.
Tommy you need to post some pictures of your old radios. KBIM signing off.
