Tommy and Don,

Sounds like good name for a "Rock-n-roll group"... After the 18 holes, you could always go out play another 9.  Might be dragging a bit, but what a way to go!!  Then there's always 9 ball.  That comes right after  8.

Hey Guys, you are getting me 'down'!!!!! You are only as old as you feel and think!

I spent 8 hours Wednesday painting, grouting and caulking on my latest boon-doggle, and all day today playing with my soon to be 4years old grandaughter (I look pretty good in my tiara!! watching Cinderella)

And all I can say is that I don't feel a day over 66!!!! ( of course, my mind is still stuck at 21)

So as my old pych prof used to say. "Live it up today, you can live it down tomorrow!"

Merlin,

Your Youtube suggestion works!!  Thanks!  I'll send you the MP3  that  Delbert did in the video.  He puts on one heck of a show! Gives playing time and showcases other members.  Best Blues man born in Lubbock and raised in Ft. Worth.  Delbert's almost as good as the "Po White Boy Blues Band" that played at the 50th... ha

the URL is a series of numbers and letters and the title of the song, usually blue, and you click on it to hear the song.

URL stands for "Uniform Resource Locator", and is used for addresses on the Web.  A URL is the network identification for any resource connected to the web (e.g., hypertext pages, images, and sound files).

For example, the URL for University' of New Mexico home page is:

http://www.unm.edu/

However, for Don and Bill Leggett...  URL  stands for:  "Unidentified  Rocket Launcher"  right next to UFO...

Billy Bob"s Texas, Fort Worth

Ticket prices $79 to $425 (BILLY T. ARE  YOU BUYING THE TICKET'S ?)

Keith,

Billy Bob's in Ft. Worth sounds like reat a hoot!!  Do you live near by?  Of course we'd hafta stick matches in our eye lids for Delbert's 10:30 PM show.  It's way past Turley's bedtime.   Now,  If Turley buys the $30 tickets are you buying our airline tickets?   Billy, Mack, and I saw Debert's concert at the Spencer Theatre in Ruidoso a couple years ago.  It was great!  The only drawback was Delbert forgot to sing "When Rita Leaves".  Does anyone know the highway and near what city "where she burned that pony to the ground on the desert of New Mexico" ??

Johnny, I'll send you this song by email to post so others can have some fun guessing what area of NM this 'dastardly deed' took place.

Rex,

After the 9th grade in Roswell , I was dragged  kicking and scratching when my Dad made me and the family move to Fort Worth, Texas. I wanted to stay with my Grandmother and finish high school with the kids I knew . I soon adjusted  and I found a lot of  fun. My favorite was Panther Hall (large music hall) in Fort Worth . All of the great country artists of the day performed  there. Willie Nelson, George Jones, Ray Price, Buck Owens, Dolly Parton  just to name a few. Over the years I made it to several of Delbert's concerts. Early on in Fort Worth he played clubs and beer joints. Delbert is still my favorite !

Billy Bob's Texas is located in north Fort Worth. I live 30 miles south of Fort Worth.

Tommy,

I don't know which Bill you were talking to when you mentioned Virginia Delgado and Helen Ayala. I knew them both.

Virginia and I were neighbors went Pecos elementary along with Sammy Vaughn,David Sherrod,Elaine Huntley,Don and Gary Coon and all the Looney family(Steve,Johnny and Vicky.) Virgina was one smart girl.

She lived across the street from Allenswoth in high school. She two brothers that many of us knew from South and East. Andres and Bonny Delgado. She married Fernando Torres.

Helen was an international airline flight attendant and was killed in a car accident along with her husband near Santa Barbara,CA where they lived.

Just a note to let you all know that John had surgery on his right shoulder this morning and it may be awhile before he is back "in the grove" and getting information out to you all.  Of course, if I know him, it won't take him long.  So keep up the good work and keep him in your prayers.

Hugs, Lynn
