I am guessing Rex made it back with his boat... However, it seems that he has quieted down a lot since returning to Roswell with all the responsible type of classmates about!!!!

Tommy, I never knew that you, Turley and all were such party animals. Who would have guessed. Were any of you involved in the '61 egging of cars on main, halloween night??? I remember such goings on, and one bunch getting the next car coming down the street and it turning out to be one of Roswell's finest! As I remember, said bunch had to wash the cruiser twice.

I usually was the designated driver, and since George DeShurley and Ross Casarez were some of the guys, I got to drive some big and some cool cars.. including Ross's '61 Vette that he got for a grad present..... Just call me Mr. Responsible!!!!!

John A - Who else was Lynn having to give instructions to, I recognized you from the rear!

Sometimes we have to refresh Tommy's memory. I beleive it was after high school. Tommy do you remember us walking on north Main by NMMI when the nice police officer stopped and gave us a ride to your house because Cal's car had stalled. We got your car and went back to the car and got it started, Then you took the guys home who lived on the north side of town and Rex and I headed home to the south side of town. The car stalled again down town. Heand I were just sitting in the car waiting for someone we knew to come along. The only person who came along was officer Dennis and the rest as they say is history.

As I recall you and I had spent most of that night drinking at the old Holiday Inn on west second. The other guys had been cruising around in Cal's car drinking Coors. Then they picked us up when the bar closed and we were headed home.

You member.....

You know Cuz I have been sure for a lot of years that the good Lord looked after the boys of RHS classes of 61, 62 and 63.  For if he hadn't been watching we would have never made it out of our teens.

By the way your Cuz Larry used to blame everything on his little brother.  The same way you are blameing Calvin.  Little brothers never have a chance.

Yep Calvin used to catch a lot of stuff just for being my little brother....not from me but from those people who didn't like me. Even the rat bastard officer Dennis had it in for him. But Jimmy Pope womped on officer Dennis on Main Street one night.

It was Calvin's car but he was in Kansas at the time. He and Charley McClain had cut a hole in the package trey behind the seat and they just threw their empties in the trunk and when officer Ding Dong opened the trunk and cans and bottles started rolling out he just kinda freaked out. That's when he took us to the police station. They sent Rex home and kept me. Had to get Sammy Vaughn to get me out. How bad is it when you had to get Sammy to get you out of trouble ???

Turley I do remember but we were out of Hi School. I spent a lot of nights as D.D. while we were in Hi School. Don is right about God taking care of all of us. What a wonderful childhood we had and what a wonderful time full of music and fun. Street dances were a lot of fun, ball games, drag racing, fights with WAFB and NMMI, swimming in all the pools all over the rich part of town, the lakes and girls, girls, girls.

Tommy ,you know I haven't talked to a single person who didn't agree Roswell was a great place and our time was the absolute best. Funny a lot of us couldn't wait to get out of town but I love to get back every year for the Gatherings and Reunions. I think most of us feel truly blessed to have such long time friends and memories.

From the Roger Miller song Old Friends "Lord when all my one is done, bless my life and give me one,Old Friend".......count your blessings.

Billy T. who were the 3 or 4 RHS guys that ending in the country Jail every Friday night an didn't get until Sunday afternoon for a month, I can't  remember what they did, But I remember one Friday after noon about 5 p.m. , I was siting in the Sheriff's office, after Ass hold Officer Jay came to my house an ask me if I would come down to the office as the had some questions to ask me. about something I was accused of. This time I didn't do it. A couple of pictures on the top of the web page ring a bell.cheeky

I remember a couple of the guys. As I recall they were Larry Adams,Jimmy Qualls,Doug Pulley and maybe one other one. Seems they got together and rented a small house out in Northwest Roswell. Either Country Club or maybe Pine Lodge Road and then proceeded to furnish the house with items they "borrowed" from around town.

Larry Adams died in 2007 and was very succcessful in Real Estate development and then was an insurance executive.( he was also one of the originators of The Gathering)

Jimmy Qualls became a police officer and retired as a detective with the Albuquerque PD

Doug Pulley came out of the Navy as a computer guru (don't know what went on after that)

That's the way I remember it. Please feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

John L.  that was Weathers, Ratliff, Rex, and Tommy Felber, I'm not in the picture, I'm sure I could have opened the sack, wouldn't have had to call on Lynn.  That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

What a rowdy bunch of guys we grew up with and have to also say what a great bunch of friends.  Turley, I believe God has already granted each of  us "One Old Friend"

John L. I am sure John A. would not tell you anything that is not the truth. Memory and truth may not match. I will tell you this. If that round shiny thing at the bottom of the picture is not John A. it must be a bowling ball.

Turley seems like all of the jail birds did well in life.

John Allensworth

Thanks Don, knew I could count on you.

John A...... I apologize for getting this controversy started... I NEVER thought some of our fellow classmates could be so insulting! Bowling ball and onions indeed! Actually, I thought.......never mind!

Besides, I am sure that you were just checking to make sure everyone understood Lynn's demonstration.

05/09/14 12:22 PM #1083

Billy Turley

Anybody else reading Lynn's mind as she demonstrates this extremely difficult chore?? I believe she is thinking " Well, they are just men so you can't expect too much"

Just a littl humor don't get all crazy on me !!!!!!!!!laughdevil

I am not afraid, how many guys does it take to open one sack. Four guys, one sack, and one girl. Thanks Lynn. I would have opened it but I knew it would be more fun if you showed those other guys up.

Tommy wasn't being sudtle,( spell check didn't know how to spell it either)

He was saying it is much less gruesome to shoot Bambi's mother from 250 yards with a 30-06 and  a 12X scope than to wring a chickens neck and throw it under a number 3 wash tub.

Tommy says stuff like that

The scary thing is that some of us understand it.
